Breezy Palms Resort is the perfect place to tan in the tropical sunshine of Islamorada, FL. Guests can snorkel, flyfish, scuba dive, or take a charter boat…If it’s on the water, Islamorada has it. No activity is mandatory though. Guests are free to laze around the pool like napping sea lions and do absolutely nothing—it’s encouraged! It was a pleasure for our design team to revamp Breezy Palms’ website to celebrate their laid-back ocean vibes.
An Ocean Color Scheme and Smooth Read to Showcase Breezy Palms’ Beachy Brand
Palm tree photos and a calm, beachy color scheme of blue and sandy shades create a perfectly balanced blend of excitement and relaxation that guests can expect at Breezy Palms.
Complementing the property’s photos, the design’s simple color palette reinforces the resort’s brand image and unique selling proposition—that their tropical beach is only steps away.
Large-format room photos let guests know exactly what they’re getting should they decide to book. Happily, turquoise and cerulean abound in these images, in keeping with the brand.
The booking CTA stands out in a sandy-tan accent color and is available within the main menu on each page, so it’s never more than a click away. The homepage has three booking CTAs for good measure—including a convenient booking widget overlaying the hero image, and a strategically placed booking button below a selection of guest testimonials proving how trustworthy they are.
Each page takes advantage of plenty of white space, so the site is simple for guests to skim over and find the right information. The site makes good use of lists and headings, avoiding big chunky paragraphs. Long paragraphs can be intimidating to the viewer, especially if they’re short on time.
The site is mobile friendly, so guests can access it smoothly across their devices. The responsive design automatically adapts the layout to fit smaller screens. A useful accessibility widget allows users to change the font size, text spacing, and more, and helps ensure the site meets ADA requirements.
And the resort staff don’t need master’s degrees in tech to update website content themselves. They can easily update the site’s photos, descriptions, and links using their handy WordPress content management system (CMS).
